It’s been a long time since my last post. I have been busy travelling the month of December and first bit of January. My husband & I went on a 3 weeks long Europe trip and it was amazing. I will posting a separate blog post on that very soon but today I wanted to share some of my winter fashion favorites. I am a little late but it’s still pretty cold in Canada (Toronto) and will stay like this for the next couple of months so there is still time to rock some of these items. I think 2017 was all about making statement. Amp up a simple outfit by adding statement accessories, including belts, earrings, hats etc. I will be sharing some of my must haves for winter wardrobe. Stay tuned loves <3
I don’t know if you guys noticed but biker boy hats are making a major comeback. Instagram models have been rocking them and I don’t think they will be going anywhere any time soon. Also, berets have been really big on runways and all over Instagram in 2017. You can really spice up a simple outfit by adding a nice hat. It is also great to buy these pieces if you want to look chic and trendy obviously you don’t have to spend a ton of money. You can pick them up from Forever21, H&M and Zara or online stores like shein.com.
Biker boy hat
I think adding a belt to a casual outfit can really make you look put together. You can wear these over cardigans, dresses and even on big coats to cinch in your waist. Such a great way to change your outfit from boring to chic.
I think 2017 was all about statement earnings, from classic pearls to big colorful dangly earrings. I am a big fan of earring so when this trend set off I got a little bit too excited and stocked up on some of the most fun earrings I have ever worn. Just look at those colors. <3
Adding a nice pair of shades can make you look chic and trendy in a matter of seconds. Shades are so classy and I have been noticing cat-eye shades are really in right now. You don’t have to spend big bucks on these shades, I picked up mine from good old trusty Aldo accessories.
I am always very picky when it comes to outerwear specially jackets and coats. This year I wanted to invest in a piece that’s comfortable yet trendy. I have been seeing fur pockets all over Zara and Asos. I knew fur details will be big this season. So instead of going for a boring coat I decided to buy this super chic knee length wool coat that comes with a belt in case you want to cinch in that waist. Don’t forget, it’s all about the details!
Ok, so this was gifted to me by ever so kind Rosegal.com. This very interesting blazer dress can be worn as a blazer, button undone or a blazer dress with a pair of tights and heels. It is super chic and perfect for work parties. I absolutely love the gold buttons.
Little Black Dress
You have to have a little black dress in your winter wardrobe. This dress has the cutest sleeves and can act as a perfect layering piece since it’s not too bulky.
Thigh highs and Sock booties
Sock booties are all over Instagram (that’s where I get most of my outfit inspo). They look super nice with oversize sweater dresses, tights and midi dresses. I have worn them a few times so far and they are super comfy and make your outfit look put together. I did invest in a grey and black pair of thigh highs, they are a must have for winter. You can easily throw on a pair of tights a sweater dress and your thigh highs and you are good to go. I also bought 2 other fun pair of shoes from Forever21, they were too cute not to buy. I haven’t gotten a chance to rock them yet but I think they will be perfect for upcoming Spring season.
